A series of "Learned Pigs" were shown in London. The first in 1784-5 was satirised by Thomas Rolandson in The Wonderful Pig.

Another, called Toby published an "autobiography" c1817; and a third was shown in London from 1818  (when Golden Stones was published) until 1823
